Band History

Big Stuff are a Soul Band made up of musicians and singers who have performed in various bands of numerous different genres from Rock to Reggae, Funk to Punk and Jazz to Classical!

Individual members of the band have played at venues such as the Albert Hall and Radio 2's Guilfest, in ensembles with musicians from Goldfrapp and Portishead and have supported artists such as Jools Holland and Paul Weller.

Most of the band members are local to Newark but all share a love for Soul.

Big Stuff were also the headline act at the Newark Live and Local Festivals in 2006 and 2007.

This talented group of individuals decided to get together to celebrate 60's and early 70's Soul music as well as a selection of more modern covers.

They have a varied set including songs made famous by Marvin Gaye, Aretha Franklin, James Brown, The Jackson Five and Stevie Wonder to name just a few.

Big Stuff are the ideal band for Parties, Weddings, Proms, Balls and Corporate Events.
